Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Covid-19 Symptoms

The main symptoms are:

  • A high temperature
  • A new, continuous cough
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Please visit the NHS website for more information on Covid-19 symptoms.

What to do if you have symptoms

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, even if they're mild, take a lateral flow test. If this is positive, you are advised to isolate but this is no longer the law.

Covid-19 Vaccinations

We have been working hard supporting all 9 of our practices to administer the first, second, third and both booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccination.

We started vaccinating out of Bloomsbury Surgery in Decemeber 2020 and have continued this right through to December 2022.

The Autumn Booster is available for patients who are aged 50 and over, healthcare professionals, those in a care home and those aged 5 and over and in a clinical risk group.

During the Covid-19 booster vaccine roll out, we have been coadministering flu vaccines alongside this. There are worries that there may be a higher level of flu infections this year, because of social distancing and other measures that were put in place to prevent Covid-19 last year, the flu levels were very low. This may mean that people will have a lower level of immunity against flu this winter. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have reviewed the evidence around receiving both vaccinations at the same time, and have concluded that this is safe.
